AnimCharts is a free collection of animated chart and number tools built and maintained by SupaMakers. It helps people turn values into reusable clips with clear labels, sources and context.
What runs in your browser?
Your pasted values, captions, CSV files and project files are processed in your browser. Chart drawing and MP4/GIF encoding also run there. Downloaded projects and publishing packs are files on your device; AnimCharts does not publish them or create a public project URL.
The page, fonts, code and prepared public examples are downloaded from our hosting provider. Browser processing still requires those network requests. The public examples contain credited source data, not private user projects.
Analytics and data privacy
We use Plausible for aggregate page visits and categorical tool events, such as starting or completing an export, downloading a pack and following the maker link. Categories can include the tool, MP4/GIF format, resolution, reading layout and number of annotations. Chart values, captions, source text, filenames and file contents are not included in these event properties.
Our analytics bootstrap removes query strings and URL fragments from page addresses sent to Plausible, and reduces referrers to their origin. Sources, methods and reuse
Prepared examples link to their original data providers, retrieval dates, units, transformations and reuse terms. SupaMakers prepares the chart adaptation. The World Bank, NASA and the US Bureau of Labor Statistics have not endorsed these adaptations.
Historical examples are snapshots and may differ from later revisions. Intermediate animation frames do not add observations. Review the source and the meaning of your headline and notes before publication. Preserve applicable source attribution; credit to AnimCharts or SupaMakers is optional.
Report an issue or request a correction
Email Vishal at SupaMakers or use the SupaMakers contact page. For a data issue, include the page URL, observation, source link and discrepancy. For an export issue, include the browser, format and steps needed to reproduce it. Share a small non-sensitive example if needed; do not send confidential chart inputs.
We check reported source discrepancies against the cited record and distinguish source revisions from errors in our adaptation. Material corrections will identify the affected example, what changed and when.
Current limits
MP4 encoding support and export speed depend on the browser and device. Desktop Chrome, Firefox and WebKit exports have been tested; physical-phone coverage and email-client delivery tests remain limited. Each editor states its format and input limits. The editorial lab is a preview, and the publishing guide is a worked example rather than evidence of independent publisher use.
